This book has the cuddliest himbo being a total slut with zero shame, and I’m here for it.

I listened to Soul Eater by Lily Mayne and did not enjoy it. Mostly because I didn’t like Danny. He felt almost like a reader-insert character to me; his thoughts, feelings and action never quite build into a coherent character. (And why is he so frustratingly useless in all the dangerous situations?!) Also, the villains are annoyingly over the top evil. Wyn is fine but a little too nice for my liking.

Oof, this is a bit difficult to rate.

The story is about a Kyle who just lost his left leg in an accident and is still trying to learn to cope with it. He slips on ice and falls in front of Mark, his two years long 'rival', who insist on helping him get home and then proceeds to take care of him...

What I liked:

-The caretaking, especially at the beginning. It was really sweet and I enjoyed it a ton.

-The way Kyle's shyness was …Read More

Enjoyable read if a little predictable for a post-apocalyptic zombie story. Nothing really stood out except the wistful note at the end made me tear up a little.

I like the messy dynamic between the MCs, and the tension between them is compelling. But there’s so much other stuff that I didn’t care for. I started to lose interest in the central murder case around 1/3 into the book, which was not great for a mystery story. Almost all the side characters were unlikable, and a lot of their rants were just plain unpleasant to read. The pacing also felt weird at times. Reading this right a …Read More

I devoured all five books. I am just so invested in Cooper and Park. I wish there were a dozen more books (even though I always get so stressed when the MCs end up in life threatening situations) sighs

First I must say that this was a dark read.

Unfortunately I had no idea what to expect.

Can’t blame myself I knew it would be hard.

Kindle ended up crashing while reading!

Ordered a new Kindle!

First I found that it couldn’t be delivered!

Finally I decided on getting a Kobo.

Now it took nearly an hour to get it set.

Every time I loaded a book it gave errors.

Really got tired of all of it!

Damn near lost my mind!

Shit on the floor …Read More

If you had asked me if I would like a story inspired by A Tale of Two Cities but involving fairies, changelings, and long-running revenge plots, I don't know that I would have said yes. But honestly this was so, so good.

Revenge, love, unlooked-for friendship, hate, forgiveness, and the way that all of those emotions intertwine, lock together, and preempt one another and the choices people make in response make for wonderful …Read More

It was short. Real short. The kinda short that makes a lady unhappy when you take down your pants and she’s expecting a king sized Snickers bar and you’re packing a fun size single Kit-Kat.

Harlan Ellison was crazy. A true legend. Honestly I had never read this story until now. I had remembered the drama around the movie, In Time. Allegedly, that film store from this book. It was a crock of shit, and it ended with Ellison en …Read More
