Review by Sunshine and rain
May 23This one sat on my TBR for a while. I finally decided to work my way slooooowly through that pesky list, and boy am I glad.
This book was lovely. Sure there are niggles and quibbles. The editing needs work. There were syntax and grammatical errors everywhere. There needed to be more research to truly tie the story together in an accurate way BUT in spite of these issues, the story, of an unjustly convicted teenager and his attempt to right his life post a prison sentence, glowed.
Shane and his insta-love was such a balm for the initial overwhelming angst and the other characters were fairly richly drawn. Finding out about Ace at the end was a lovely way to tie up the story. 4 stars.
