OMG. How is it possible for a sequel to suck this hard? And not in a good way.
Alexis Hall is a fantastic writer, which makes this even worse. I had to finish this twaddle even though the main characters are self-loathing, self-absorbed mumpies, and the plot is mainly about other people and how they enable or extend the neuroses of Luc. This was simply amazing! Words won't do this book justice and I won't even try. Epic and awesome.
This one sat on my TBR for a while. I finally decided to work my way slooooowly through that pesky list, and boy am I glad.
This book was lovely. Sure there are niggles and quibbles. The editing needs work. There were syntax and grammatical errors everywhere. There needed to be more research to truly tie the story together in an accurate way BUT in spite of these issues, the story, of an unjustly convicted teenager and his a …Read More

It took me a while to put this review into words. This book left me soooo uncomfortable and I despised one of the MCs.
This was a major letdown—especially as the sequel to what I considered a tour de force by the same author. Honestly, I almost can’t believe it was written by the same person.
