All Systems Red

All Systems Red
Martha Wells

I know that "what if reddit user but character in a book" is a whole genre nowadays, but I haven't read any of the books until this one: "what if social anxiety, but with lasers" and all of the r/meirl goes "representation!"

The plot, wordlbuilding, main character - all were uninspired and flat, the execution fell miles short of the ideas it wanted to introduce, the only saving grace of this book is that it was mercifully short.
