Feb 19, 2019A well written classic, that in these times are more important than ever, now that nationalism is sweeping the planet as a plague again.
I very much enjoyed the first part as it set up everything, and you got a good insight into how paranoid a person can become due to political arrogance. The second part was also good, but not as much as the second part. It didn't evolve much from the on the first part, but merely cemented the ideologies with deeper explanations that wasn't sorely needed. But oh boy, the third part, that's where it really went down hill for me. It was essentially one long bad guy monologue, repeating for the third time, what the book was about! Quite dull, and very much not needed IMHO.
3,5/5, which gets upgraded to 4/5 on Goodreads, since it was so well written and has such an important message.
