DNF at 38%. I don't hate this (there was a pretty fantastic scene between the two MCs a bit ago that I loved), but I also can just tell there are going to be too many side characters I don't care about, and everyone is going to be impressed and charmed by the MC (except for all those nasty close-minded old-fashioned vampyrs, who will doubtless be put in their place).

I DNF'ed after the MC saved the life of a poor abused slave and everyone clapped (yes, really)
