A bit disappointed with this one. It's always highly recommended as a funny, romantic, historical fantasy, a cosy read etc. etc. I liked the way it began, it made me laugh right away, and I was like, yeeesss, let's go!

The world building was interesting but then it dragged on in places, and my eyes were glazing over. Tam was such a horrible person to everyone and so fucking unlikeable that I started to think fuck this guy, he's not worth his happy ending. The whole reason why Tam HATED Lyford was so stupid and inane. Really Bro you're holding a grudge over that for 20 years!

I liked Lyford but couldn't stand the way he let Tam treat him. So I skimmed, read the spicy scenes, dipped in and out of the stuff about the gods and lost faith in the book once we got to the part with Tam and Lyford healing the baby and Lyford curing infertility by then I was like check please!
