The Rum Diary

Review by Greg

Jun 20, 2011
The Rum Diary
Hunter S. Thompson

The Rum Diary was very entertaining. It kept me hooked all the way through, and it was fun to see Thompson's style in its early development. His first novel, you can see his wit and satire is there but still struggling to find itself. There was nothing wrong about this book and I enjoyed it from beginning to end, but it fell just shy of 4 stars. If you feel like a quick read thats funny and definitely in the Hunter S. Thompson style, its a must.
