3 Stars

A bit disappointed with this one. It's always highly recommended as a funny, romantic, historical fantasy, a cosy read etc. etc. I liked the way it began, it made me laugh right away, and I was like, yeeesss, let's go!

The world building was interesting but then it dragged on in places, and my eyes were glazing over. Tam was such a horrible person to everyone and so fucking unlikeable that I started to think fuck this …Read More

5 Stars to Julia Whelan for her narration.
5 Stars to Emily Henry for writing another book that I really enjoyed. It was funny, it was heartbreaking, it was angsty, but not too angsty, it was just right.

More like 2.5 Stars for the book
5 stars for the narration by Julia Whelan

Honestly, the only reason I did not DNF the book was because I enjoyed Julia Whelan's narration. I also wanted to see how things wrapped up at the end, so at 3/4 of the way through I sped it up just to get there faster. The book started out well enough, and I thought, ok here we go! but then, the story just became repetitious and boring.

I didn't love …Read More

*DNF*
Narration by Chris Chambers was good-although I DNF'd the book

Not for me-

Alex's behavior and sexual thoughts about Corbin came off as creepy and predatory. That he was having those thoughts by chapter 2 after only just meeting Corbin was disturbing. Corbin was written to be so childlike and vulnerable and just off enough that I was uncomfortable with worry about what was going on with him. Not a book I was enjoying s …Read More

5 stars to TJ Klune for the story
5 stars to Michael Lesley for the narration

Sweet Molasses I don't know why I waited so long to read this series, it was so good. I laughed, I cried, I enjoyed myself immensely, Thanks to TJ Klune for creating such a wonderful adventure with an endearing cast of unique and quirky characters. Thank you to Michael Lesley for bringing them all to life and for the amazing narration.

Oh my gods! This book. So, so good, but darker than the previous ones. I loved this one too and I understand that the story needs to progress but damn! my heart is broken.

DNF

I gave up. Despite all the 4 and 5 star reviews this one wasn't for me. I really, really disliked Keynes/Olu, found him to be arrogant, selfish and mean. I struggled with the narrator who did Keynes/Olu's part, particularly when he was doing Griff's voice, it was terrible and sounded nothing like the person who was narrating Griff, so it kept taking me right out of the story. Botton line, I wasn't enjoying this book so I …Read More

3 Stars for Patrick Taylor
5 Stars for John Keating's Narration

Overall I found the book entertaining, though a little problematic. I really enjoyed the narration by John Keating.

I found some of Patrick Taylors descriptions of larger people to be unnecessarily demeaning, especially when it came to describing larger women. We know people come in all shapes and sizes, and the disdain that I felt come off the page for larger p …Read More

Unfortunately this was a DNF for me. 5 Stars for Julia's narration though.

An audiobook about audiobook narrators -narrated by one of my favorite audiobook narrators was right up my alley and then add to that -it was written by Julia too! Well I was excited. I enjoyed listening to the book for the voices and the characterizations but the story didn't work for me. I didn't feel connected to the two main characters, nor did I …Read More

5 Stars to Alexis Hall for the book
5 Stars to Will Watt for the narration

This was very entertaining to listen to. I enjoyed the dialogue and banter between the two main characters and I enjoyed all the side characters including the cat. Will Watt did an excellent job with the narration.
